Slight clarification - when there are multiple instruments loaded into a Kontakt instance, then yes, the midi channels matter, and you have to properly match the Midi Output Channel for each midi track, to the corresponding midi channel for the instrument in the Kontakt instance. Each instrument in Kontakt requires the MIDI channel match for the MIDI to trigger the sound. Have you set the channel? Kontakt relies on setting up the channel.
